Mazechess Challenge Rules v 1.4

1.Solo game on a chessboard, where you choose ♚King, ♞Knight, ♜Rook, or ♝Bishop
2.Start at A1 and the goal to is to get one piece using chess moves to H8 in fewest turns. 
3.Max 4 pieces on the board; new one starts at A1 if it is empty.
4.Avoid blocked squares except ♞Knights who can move across a blocked square, but not land on them.
5.In addition the following 3 pieces can land on the following blocked square and create bridges to unblock squares:
♚King: lava 
♝Bishop: water  
♜Rook: chasms 
That piece must stay in that position to maintain the bridge.

1.Player can select either ♚ King, ♞ Knight, ♜ Rook or ♝Bishop and start at A
2.Once the player has moved from A1 another piece may begin at A1. Max 4 pieces on a board
3.The aim is to move any piece from A1 to H8 in the fewest possible moves.
4.The pieces can move according to their chess moves and part 6. One Move a turn.
5.Blocked Squares : The chessboard contains a number of blocked squares (marked with an icon representing
the dungeon wall,lava flow,rivers and chasms respectively) that the piece cannot generally enter.
The exact number can vary. Knights can cross all of these except walls. A knight or other pieces cannot
land on any blocked space (except for combos below).
6.The following combos are possible when multiple pieces are on a board at the same time. The combo
can only be played once per game:
6.1: ♚♞ Kings Mount-A Knight can move as a King. Just one space or a king may move as a Knight
6.2: ♚♝Monarch escort-A bishop can travel over one square of water and must end up in an empty square.
6.3:♞♝Holy Steed-allows a Knight or bishop to land on water .
6.4:♜♝ Rook’s Rampage: With a Rook and a Bishop on the board, the Rook can ‘charge’ through dungeon walls
in a straight line for one turn, removing any dungeon wall in one direction.
6.5:♜♚ Royal Drawbridge: A Rook acts as a bridge over a chasm. While the rook is in this position. Other pieces
may move over it. The bridge can only be where there is a one square of chasm between two unblocked spaces
6.6:♞♜War Horse:Knight can charge through dungeon walls (like rooks rampage) in its normal movement

Version 1.1

  1. Player can select King, Knight, Rook, Bishop, Jester or Miner and starts at A1
  2. The new pieces are:
    1. Bard(Ba) – can move as Queen but only up to 2 spaces.
    2. Miner(M) – can move cardinal directions 1 space, but instead of a move can remove an adjacent dungeon wall square and next turn can move through it.
  3. Blocked Squares : The chessboard contains a number of blocked squares (marked with an  representing the dungeon walls, lava flows, rivers and chasms respectively) that the piece cannot generally enter. The exact number can vary. Miners can remove a dungeon wall. When it is removed it is just considered a normal square with the original color. Knights can cross rivers, lava flows and chasms but not land in those spaces at the end of their turn.
  4. Single piece on the Board: Only the chosen piece is on the board at any time.
  5. The aim is to move the chosen piece from A1 to H8 in the fewest possible moves.
  6. The pieces can only move according to their standard chess movement rules and rule 2 above. Illegal moves are not allowed. One Move per Turn.
