So today I introduce the simplest version of mazechess. It’s stripped back but I have expanded the size of the board to be better suited to a pure a4/US letter page. It’s designed to make the most of the amazing inkarnate.com tool so you should start to see some pretty amazing maps. I’ve updated the rules in the rules section of this site mazechess.com/rules but you will find it pretty easy to follow anyway as it is now essentially just one major rule

Move ♚King,  ♞Knight, ♜Rook, or ♝Bishop from A1 to H10 collecting all gold in fewest turns. 

So gold now appears and every one must be picked up in completing the challenge as well as moving to the new final position of H10. Gold looks like this:
